Rig tip: Most transient sites offer 30 amp only and hookups can be up to 60 feet from your pad—bring long cords and hoses.
Friction patterns emerge around inconsistent cleanliness at Arrowhead Campground. Campers commonly report dirty or outdated bathrooms and showers, unswept cabins, and unkempt public areas. Trash and weed problems are also noted by several guests. While some public areas such as the pool are described as clean, the recurring complaints about general and facility-specific cleanliness reflect a need for improved maintenance.
Reviews suggest that Arrowhead Campground offers a good array of family-friendly amenities, such as swimming, mini golf, and a playground, which are appreciated by many guests. However, there are recurring complaints about the Wi-Fi being virtually unusable, even for guests who paid for access. Additionally, some amenities are described as being outdated or not always available, which can disappoint those expecting all features to match the website descriptions.
A troubling pattern emerges in staff interactions at Arrowhead Campground, with several independent reviews documenting high-severity issues including unsubstantiated accusations and serious staff-guest treatment concerns. Multiple reviewers describe feeling deeply distressed by these experiences, which overshadow positive reports about certain individual staff members. The inconsistency and severity of these accounts raise significant concerns about staff quality and professionalism.
Short-term campers frequently report receiving lesser quality sites than seasonal or full-time guests at this campground. Complaints focus on unlevel pads, poorly maintained fire pits, and a sense of being deprioritized in site assignment. This pattern leads to disappointment among transient visitors, as the site they receive often falls short of expectations based on booking information.
The noise environment at Arrowhead Campground receives both praise and criticism. While some guests experience a peaceful, wooded atmosphere, others point to management's failure to enforce quiet hours, with reports of loud music late at night causing frustration for light sleepers. In addition, some mention disruptive noise from a nearby raceway but this seems more occasional than constant.
Campers report significant and recurring challenges with water and electric hookups at Arrowhead Campground. Low voltage is a common complaint, causing surge protectors to trip and leading to power concerns for RV users. Difficult-to-reach hookups and a lack of sewer connections for most transient sites further contribute to frustration, making this a notable weak point for those relying on full hook-up services.
With a combined score of 6.2 across platforms, the community sentiment for Arrowhead Campground is clearly mixed. Patterns of guest frustration with staff, site quality, and cleanliness appear to influence the overall impression. Guests appreciate aspects of the family atmosphere and group activities, but persistent operational issues weigh down the overall community rating.

The volatility label hides a real recovery story: after a dramatic dip in guest sentiment just a year ago, recent reviews at Arrowhead Campground show a bounce-back, but not without lingering splits. The most pronounced divide centers on staff and owner interaction—21 reviewers over five years have weighed in, with feedback swinging from positive to sharply negative, especially during last year’s low point. Site quality and maintenance, mentioned by 23 guests, also remains a sticking point, with recent reviews still skewing critical. Meanwhile, atmosphere and crowd impressions—anchored by 27 mentions—have stayed relatively upbeat, even as other themes wavered. If you’re booking now, you’re catching Arrowhead Campground as it climbs out of its roughest patch, but it’s worth reading recent comments on staff and site upkeep to see where you might land.

The CampRecord is generated through analysis of public guest reviews spanning multiple years. Patterns described reflect themes observed in reviewer feedback over time and should be considered alongside other research when planning a stay.

Before You Arrive

Sites are grass, gravel, dirt, sand, or asphalt. Both pull-through and back-in types.

Site surfaces and levelness are highly variable. Most sites are 30 amp only and pedestals/water can be up to 60 feet from pad, requiring extension cords/hoses.

50 amp available only in the annual/seasonal section, not for transients. Full hookup and water/electric only sites exist. Sewer is often not present on most transient sites. Spacing between lots is usually spacious, but some areas are close. Hookups are sometimes oddly placed across the site from pad.

Bring extension cords and long hoses for electric and water due to poor hookup layout and distances.

Arrowhead Campground offers many family-friendly amenities and friendly staff, but serious issues with inconsistent management, site maintenance, and mishandled guest complaints put its reputation at risk.
