About TrustedCamp Limited Data

This campground has under 30 combined reviews across our tracked platforms, and the available data doesn't yet support a confident positive evaluation. What that means: We can see the patterns in the existing reviews, but with fewer reviews to draw from, the picture isn't yet clear enough to classify this as a recommended property. Why it's listed anyway: Transparency. Every Wisconsin campground we analyze gets a place on TrustedCamp, with honest context about the data we have. Some Limited Data properties will earn On Our Radar or Verified status as more reviews accumulate.

Best For
Active families with young children wanting lots of kid-friendly amenities and a social campground experience.
Avoid If
You're sensitive to noise or need full hookups—persistent train sound and limited sewer access are documented in reviews.

Rig tip: Tall rigs should watch for low tree branches on main drives and confirm site length before booking.
Reviews consistently mention issues with facility and restroom cleanliness, including reports of the bathrooms lacking regular cleaning and supplies. Several guests describe the need for more frequent pool cleaning and additional upkeep throughout the campground. While the general grounds appear to be maintained, these repeated cleanliness complaints highlight a friction point for many visitors.
Campers often highlight the variety of family-friendly amenities, with positive feedback for the pool, mini golf, and play areas that appeal to younger children. Some complaints focus on the pool hours closing earlier than campers would like and the playground not being suitable for teens. Overall, reviews suggest that most amenities meet expectations as described, though older kids may find activities limited.
Guests describe the staff and owners as especially friendly and welcoming, with several reviewers praising the positive atmosphere created by the campground team. There are no documented complaints or negative experiences related to staff interactions. This positive pattern suggests that staff quality is a major highlight for campers at Boulder Creek.
Site descriptions generally match expectations, but reviews suggest it's important for RVers to double-check site length and features when reserving, as some sites can be tight or muddy after rain and not all have full hookups. There are no patterns of outright booking mistakes or fee disputes. Although the reservations process is largely smooth, site-specific variation means accuracy depends on careful selection and confirmation.
Reviews repeatedly cite loud noise from nearby trains at all hours, with several guests describing the blaring sound as a major disruption to sleep and relaxation. There are also mentions of party noise from other campers. These documented noise issues significantly limit the peaceful atmosphere some campers seek.
RV guests report mixed experiences with utility hookups. While most sites provide reliable electricity and many are ample for larger rigs, a common issue is the lack of sewer connections at several sites. Rain can exacerbate muddy conditions on site pads, and some aprons are narrow or difficult to access, particularly for bigger RVs, so advance planning is recommended.
The overall community rating reflects a mix of experiences, with some families returning year after year and others expressing reservations due to noise or site issues. While many guests describe Boulder Creek as a great fit for families and praise the welcoming environment, medium to high severity complaints lower the overall impression in aggregate reviews.

Consistent praise for staff and owner interaction anchors the experience here, with 11 reviewers over five years returning to this theme and describing a reliably positive welcome. Boulder Creek Campground’s reviews show that even as other topics—like site quality and amenities—have faded from recent discussion, the human touch remains steady, with the two most recent mentions in the past year both strongly favorable. Atmosphere and crowd feedback also holds a gentle, positive thread, cited by nine reviewers and never dipping into negative territory. While a single negative note on booking communication appeared early on, it hasn’t resurfaced since. What you read in recent reviews is what you’ll get: a stable, friendly experience shaped by the people who run the place.

The CampRecord is generated through analysis of public guest reviews spanning multiple years. Patterns described reflect themes observed in reviewer feedback over time and should be considered alongside other research when planning a stay.

Several reviews mention no onsite sewer. Sites vary in spacing from very close to spacious depending on area. Some shady sites.

Others are sunny and open.

Prairie du Chien is close for groceries and supplies. Stonefield Museum is worth visiting, about half an hour away. Make sure holding tanks are empty, as you may need to use a dump station on site.
