A 5-year view of camper sentiment
What's driving the trend: Amenities
Based on Google Reviews · May 2023 - May 2026 · 147 reviews
Amenities stand out as the most consistently praised feature in recent reviews, with 46 mentions across the last three years and a notably positive tone that held steady from the first wave of feedback through to the most recent 41 reviewers. At Emrick Lake Campground & Resort, this thread anchors the experience, with activities and entertainment also drawing uniformly positive comments, albeit from a smaller group. While staff interaction has drawn some mixed responses — 28 mentions with sentiment dipping in the latest period — the core offering remains reliably centered on what’s available to do and enjoy onsite. For campers seeking a place where amenities are the headline, what you read in recent reviews is what you’ll get.
The CampRecord is generated through analysis of public guest reviews spanning multiple years. Patterns described reflect themes observed in reviewer feedback over time and should be considered alongside other research when planning a stay.

All sites appear to be gravel surface and mostly pull-through, with some back-in. Most reviews report full hookups—electric (20/30/50 amp), water (with strong pressure), and sewer (some with dual dumps). Sites are described as level and generally large enough for RV + towed vehicle/truck without the need to disconnect, although some note tighter spacing or the need to disconnect in a few cases. Site spacing ranges from spacious to very close, with a mix of shade and open sunny sites.
Rent or bring a golf cart—park is huge. Select shaded sites near water features for comfort. For laundry, use the 24-hour laundromat in town (4 miles away). Call ahead to check which amenities are open due to possible staffing shortages. Watch GPS routes as some have low bridges.
Enter on Franklin Ave for larger rigs. Excellent trails around lake and great fishing. Site restaurant is highly recommended.
Most pull-throughs are level gravel and long enough for big rigs, but sites in the nightly section may require disconnecting.
