A 5-year view of camper sentiment
What's driving the trend: Atmosphere & crowd
Based on Google Reviews · June 2021 - May 2026 · 174 reviews
Staff and atmosphere have quietly staged a comeback, with the past two years at Kinney Lake Campground showing a marked shift from the rough patch that defined earlier reviews. Of the 22 mentions of staff and owner interaction since 2021, the most recent 11 describe a friendlier and more welcoming experience, a notable turnaround from the negative notes that surfaced two and three years ago. Atmosphere and crowd sentiment has also rebounded, with six recent reviewers highlighting a more enjoyable, relaxed vibe compared to the dip seen in mid-period feedback. Amenities and activities continue to draw steady praise, though the overall momentum has softened slightly in the latest year. If you're booking now, you're catching this place at its most welcoming in years.

Site surfaces are grass in older sections, gravel in new FHU (full hookup) section. Mostly back-in sites, long enough for trailer and tow vehicle. Amperage includes 50/30/20/15 amp. Water is available at most sites.
Sewer is only present at new FHU sites. Sites have 'nearby' spacing, range from mostly shady to sunny/open.
Rent a golf cart for easier access around the large campground. The new FHU sites near the back are gravel and newer, with a swim pond nearby. Bring earplugs if staying on a busy weekend. Visit the Dupont cheese store and Amish bulk food store (with cheap propane) nearby. The pool bar has specialty drinks and the on-site restaurant is kid-friendly.
Most big rigs fit in newer gravel FHU back-ins, but older grassy sites may require extra leveling blocks.
