What's driving the trend: Staff & owner interaction
Based on Google Reviews · June 2021 - May 2026 · 174 reviews
The volatility label hides a real split: staff and owner interaction is the single most debated theme in recent Kinney Lake Campground reviews, with 11 out of 22 total mentions coming just this past year. Some guests describe warm, attentive service, while others report inconsistent or even negative encounters—an arc that has swung from low points in year two to a notable uptick in positivity more recently. Amenities and activities, highlighted by 14 and 6 reviewers respectively in the latest period, continue to draw praise and anchor much of the positive sentiment, even as the staff experience remains unpredictable. If your booking decision hinges on service consistency, read the latest reviews closely to see which side of the Kinney Lake experience resonates with you.

Sewer is only present at new FHU sites. Sites have 'nearby' spacing, range from mostly shady to sunny/open.
Rent a golf cart for easier access around the large campground. The new FHU sites near the back are gravel and newer, with a swim pond nearby. Bring earplugs if staying on a busy weekend. Visit the Dupont cheese store and Amish bulk food store (with cheap propane) nearby. The pool bar has specialty drinks and the on-site restaurant is kid-friendly.
Most big rigs fit in newer gravel FHU back-ins, but older grassy sites may require extra leveling blocks.
