A 5-year view of camper sentiment
What's driving the trend: Amenities
Based on Google Reviews · May 2021 - May 2026 · 568 reviews
Consistency is the story here: amenities have anchored guest satisfaction across five years, with 123 reviewers mentioning the available features and only minor shifts in feedback from year to year. Pettit's Lakeview Campground and Bar has seen its amenities theme remain the single most discussed topic, with 24 recent reviewers in the past year echoing the same steady appreciation as those from earlier periods. Staff and owner interaction also draws reliable praise, with 71 mentions and positive sentiment holding firm, while atmosphere and crowd feedback has stayed upbeat, cited by 84 reviewers since 2021. If you’re considering a stay, what you read in recent reviews is what you’ll get—this is a place where the experience has proven remarkably stable.
The CampRecord is generated through analysis of public guest reviews spanning multiple years. Patterns described reflect themes observed in reviewer feedback over time and should be considered alongside other research when planning a stay.

Site surfaces are gravel. Both back-in and pull-through types available. Sites reported as long enough for motorhome plus towed or travel trailer plus tow vehicle. Power is available (30/50 amp per Stuart K), water at sites, sewer available on some sites (Arcadia246SLRK states some sites only have 30amp and water, dump on site, pumping service for fee). Spacious spacing noted by one reviewer. Sites in sunny/open areas. Some areas have more space between lots than others.
If you want full hookups, check site details—only some sites offer sewer. There's bar and food both by the entrance and at the beachfront. Musky, bass, and catfish fishing are excellent, but water is not clear. Day trips: Palmer Park’s aquatic center is recommended for families. If you have a boat, consider exploring Rock River to Indianford for a picnic on the island.
Gravel sites range from back-in to pull-through, with enough length for big rigs and tows, but not all have sewer hookups.
