What's driving the trend: Atmosphere & crowd
Based on Google Reviews · May 2021 - May 2026 · 568 reviews
Atmosphere and crowd dynamics have become the defining split at Pettit's Lakeview Campground and Bar, with 84 reviewers over five years weighing in on everything from noise levels to the overall vibe. While some guests highlight a lively, social energy—especially in the 11 reviews from the second year that praised the scene—others point to unpredictable noise and shifting moods, a pattern that persisted right through the 17 most recent reviews. Amenities also draw mixed reactions: 123 reviewers have commented here, with recent feedback showing a dip in satisfaction compared to earlier years. Meanwhile, staff and owner interactions remain a relative bright spot, with 14 of the latest reviewers still finding positive moments. If you're considering a stay, reading recent reviews about the crowd and amenities will help you land on the side that fits your style.
The CampRecord is generated through analysis of public guest reviews spanning multiple years. Patterns described reflect themes observed in reviewer feedback over time and should be considered alongside other research when planning a stay.

Power is available (30/50 amp per Stuart K), water at sites, sewer available on some sites (Arcadia246SLRK states some sites only have 30amp and water, dump on site, pumping service for fee). Spacious spacing noted by one reviewer. Sites in sunny/open areas. Some areas have more space between lots than others.
If you want full hookups, check site details—only some sites offer sewer. There's bar and food both by the entrance and at the beachfront. Musky, bass, and catfish fishing are excellent, but water is not clear. Day trips: Palmer Park’s aquatic center is recommended for families. If you have a boat, consider exploring Rock River to Indianford for a picnic on the island.
Gravel sites range from back-in to pull-through, with enough length for big rigs and tows, but not all have sewer hookups.
