Rig tip: Most sites are long and level for big rigs, but back-in sites near the swim pond may have significant rear slope and mud after rain.
Campers consistently report significant issues with bathroom cleanliness, especially during busy periods. Multiple reviews mention dirty restrooms, plugged toilets, and unsanitary conditions, with some describing water and waste on floors and overflowing trash. These recurring complaints about insufficient cleaning frequency and facility upkeep lead to a lower cleanliness score.
Guests appreciate the wide range of family-friendly activities and amenities, noting that most are included without extra charges. However, there are recurring complaints about the pool and pond maintenance, with some describing the pool as dirty and the pond as smelly. The store is noted for lacking essential grocery items, and the coin-operated showers are seen as inconvenient due to the lack of a change machine.
Reviews overwhelmingly praise the staff for being friendly, helpful, and attentive. Campers describe staff members as phenomenal and consistently willing to assist, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere throughout the resort.
Guests report challenges with the reservation process, primarily due to high demand making it difficult to secure a site. There are also complaints about the strict cancellation policy and the possibility of being moved from a reserved site. Extra fees for early check-in and parking add to some booking frustrations.
Some campers mention significant highway noise, especially for tent sites or those closer to the road. While other areas may be more peaceful, the recurring mention of road noise and occasional crowding impacts the overall quiet score.
Campers report that RV sites are spacious, level, and accessible, with easy navigation for large rigs. However, some reviews note that newer back-in sites have rear slope and minimal gravel, leading to mud during rain. Overall, hookups are reliable but not without minor site-specific issues.
Guests describe a strong sense of tradition and community, with many families returning year after year. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the abundance of family activities fosters positive interactions among campers. Reviews highlight a loyal guest base and a vibrant, friendly social environment.

Steady praise for amenities has quietly anchored guest experiences here, with 60 reviewers over five years consistently highlighting the available features as a core strength. At Stoney Creek RV Resort, this reliability is matched by a stable run of positive feedback on site quality and atmosphere—32 and 33 mentions respectively—where campers described well-maintained grounds and a pleasant crowd dynamic, year after year. Even as other themes like value and staff interaction saw only sporadic discussion, the main story is one of dependable delivery: the 49 most recent reviewers echo the same satisfaction as those from earlier years, with no major shifts or surprises. What you read in recent reviews is what you'll get.

The CampRecord is generated through analysis of public guest reviews spanning multiple years. Patterns described reflect themes observed in reviewer feedback over time and should be considered alongside other research when planning a stay.

Before You Arrive

Site surfaces are primarily gravel with some asphalt. Both pull-through and back-in sites are available, with most sites described as long and spacious—often accommodating large RVs without disconnecting tows or trucks. 30A and 50A electricity is widely available with generally reliable power. Sites offer full hookups (W/E/S) or, in a few cases, W/E only. Concrete patios, picnic tables, and fire rings are common for many sites. Sites are often described as level, with generous spacing between units. A few newer sites near the swim pond may have more slope or less shade.

Visit Justorian Alpacas farm nearby. The red barn outside the campground serves delicious coffee. Great North Woods microbrewery offers outdoor, dog-friendly seating and good food. The local Stockman's Supply has groceries and essentials. Sites near the swimming pond lack mature shade. Norske Nook pie is recommended. Book early.

This resort is very popular. If needing local auto repair, the GMC dealership gave good, fast service. Osseo has limited attractions, mostly gas stations and diners.

Most sites are long and level for big rigs, but back-in sites near the swim pond may have significant rear slope and mud after rain.

A meticulously maintained, family-focused RV resort with abundant amenities and activities, but some recurring issues with bathrooms, extra fees, and highway noise.
