What's driving the trend: Cleanliness
Based on Google Reviews · May 2021 - May 2026 · 289 reviews
Cleanliness is the anchor here, with 55 reviewers over five years consistently calling out Wagon Trail Campground’s upkeep as a standout. That steady praise is matched by equally strong feedback on staff and owner interaction—52 mentions, nearly all positive—making the welcome as reliable as the facilities themselves. Site quality and maintenance, with 50 mentions, has quietly improved, especially in the most recent year, where 14 reviewers gave it top marks. Amenities and atmosphere are discussed less often but follow the same pattern of quiet satisfaction. With 64 recent reviews in the past year alone, what you read in recent reviews is what you’ll get.
The CampRecord is generated through analysis of public guest reviews spanning multiple years. Patterns described reflect themes observed in reviewer feedback over time and should be considered alongside other research when planning a stay.

Gravel pads, mostly back-in but pull-through sites available.
30 and 50 amp electric (reliable, no surges), water at all sites (good pressure, recommend regulator), many sites offer full hookups but some are water/electric only.
Sites vary in length (many long enough for RV and tow/towed vehicle without disconnecting, some require disconnecting), sites are consistently described as level, clean, and spacious, with mature trees for privacy and shade. Hookup placements occasionally awkward (e.g., sewer connection toward front of site), but generally accessible. Site spacing is excellent, described as private and uncrowded.
Bring extra sewer hose/extender for awkward sewage hookup locations in some sites. Use a water pressure regulator. Favorite Door County activities mentioned include: hiking and cycling at Peninsula State Park, Newport State Park, Europe Bay and Cave Point.
